When young orphan Pip has a fateful encounter with an escaped convict in a marshland graveyard, his life is forever changed. Summoned to the home of reclusive aristocrat Miss Havisham, Pip falls hopelessly in love with her adopted daughter, the cold-hearted Estella.
Years later, an anonymous benefactor sends him to become a gentleman. Whisked away from a quiet life in rural Kent to the crowds and chaos of London, the mysteries of his youth pursue Pip through his efforts to win Estella’s heart.
