What to expect when you visit Middlesbrough Theatre

Welcome to Middlesbrough Theatre! Before you arrive, please be aware of the current safety measures in place.

Please note that from today (Friday 10 December 2021), masks will be mandatory at all times inside Middlesbrough Theatre, including when seated, unless exempt.

People do not need to show proof of exemption.

Masks can be removed for the consumption of food and drinks, but people should replace them immediately afterwards.

Visitors to the theatre do not need to show a covid pass, but we would encourage them to take a lateral flow test prior to visiting.

  • Please use the hand sanitiser dispenser at the main entrance and feel free to continue using it during your visit. Remember to wash your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
  • Please be patient and courteous with the staff and fellow theatre-goers.

We will continue to review and update safety measures in line with the latest government guidance. Please check this page before each visit in case the information has changed.

We look forward to seeing you at the Theatre soon.

We’re proud to have been awarded the Society of London Theatre/UK Theatre “See It Safely” kitemark in recognition of the precautions we are taking.
